I work with a series of my photographs, digitally manipulated and printed onto fabrics and other substrates prepared with Ink Aid to hold the ink’s depth and detail. These images are collaged together with monoprinted fabrics, creating layers of color, form, and rhythm. Once the collage is complete, I machine quilt the surface, adding texture that suggests movement and dimension. A final coat of acrylic varnish protects the piece while enhancing its depth.
