Neurographic drawing results from non-representational overlapping lines that are thickened wherever they cross. It is a meditative fusion of art and psychology. I chose to expand one of my drawings into a large quilt. The beauty of this kind of drawing is that it just flows from within and results in beautiful, expressive patterns and designs. I love to take drawings from my sketchbook and turn them into art quilts.

Art quilt inspired by a rock cairn among the fall cottonwoods.

Inspired by 2 photos I took at Badlands National Park of the same mountain ranges, one at dawn and one at dusk.

I have always been fascinated by these colorful graphs depicting the different types of rock seen in the rock layers of various areas of the country. Each layer is usually a different color and has a distinct texture design on it. 

While the beautiful Arches National Park comes to mind when seeing an arch like this one,  Aztec Arch is located in northern New Mexico.  There are over 300 arches to seek out in this area.

Can you see colorful canyons here? Does the light draw you through? Maybe it's a pathway. You decide.
