The twists and turns of the beautifully carved slot canyon  allow the brilliant sunlight to kiss the folds of rock. Every step along the ancient path presents a different view, slicing through eons of time.

I love exploring slot canyons and the beautiful shapes and lines and colors in the rocks are an unending wealth of inspiration for my artwork.

This piece is constructed  from my hand-dyed fabric and machine quilted to give another layer of texture.
