I am on the road again and started the trip by delivering my artwork to the Canyons of the Ancients National Monument.

I am pleased to announce that Are the Stars Out? is part of SAQAs Global Exhibition Nature’s Canvas that will open at the Windgate Museum of Art, Hendrix College, Conway, Arkansas: May 29 through August 15, 2026 (Opening reception May 29, 5-7 PM)

This is a joint exhibition with the American Association of Woodturners.

This piece My Blue Herons - Cottonwood was juried into the 41st Annual New Legacies Contemporary Art Quilts at the Lincoln Center in Fort Collins, Co. Jun 25 – Aug 22, 2025. There will be an opening reception on June 28 from 4-6 pm.

These two complex approaches to improv piecing are part of my Improv Design from Nature Class that I will be teaching at Empty Spools Seminars next year. Registration opens June 20.

I started this piece during my artist residency, and it has been such a fun project to work on while traveling. Today, I took all of the lettering to a friend's house so I could spread it out on her design wall and finally see how large the finished quilt will be. It's always exciting when a project starts to come together!

As soon as I get home, I'll begin assembling all the words and move on to the quilting stage.

I am teaching Design from Photo to Imagination to a full class of students next week in Grand Junction, CO. The students have chosen great photos to work from. I can hardly wait to see what they create.
